Gordman Residence
   
Omaha, NE. The client for
this residence and outdoor living space desired a clean,
modern layout that would make a great backdrop for his
family to entertain guests and enjoy their weekends. The
materials of smooth stucco, steel, and concrete are cut into
the green landscape to create clean lines and striking
contrast.

Holland Residence
 
Overland Park, KS. This
major renovation for a Kansas family provided a new
interactive kitchen space with informal dining and hearth
spaces. New finishes lead to a large master suite modeled
after five star hotels.

Residence
   
Johnson County, KS. This
new home is designed to be home to a diverse extended
family. A traditional kitchen and façade are designed after
French country estates, while the outdoor kitchen, theater,
and family spaces are clean and simple with integrated
technology.

4,000 square foot residence, 4 Bed, 4 Bath.
The materiality of the
exterior forms synthesize directly with the rock and lines of the site - the forms and
angles of the exterior directly relate to the
views available to the home.

This original 1920 exterior is to receive a fully new interior and plan as well as a refurbished exterior. The project is funded by state and local tax credits and will be for seniors to age in place. This multi
family housing development utilizes simple, affordable forms
with a historic brick and glass façade. Using safe community design
guidelines and durable finishes, this project is a
interesting solution that gives each owner a home to own
while keeping the density required for the neighborhood.

Vista Masterplan
 
La Vista, NE. This master
plan for a retail and professional park includes a multi
tenant shopping center with major anchors, two new
restaurants, and direct access on a major corner. A
mixed-use office and medical park complete the master plan
with an active trail connecting the office, retail, and
dining.

Yankees Offices (Completed as the architect for the firm
of record)
   
New York, NY. A two-story
office for a major client included video conference rooms,
security checkpoints, secure parking, a hotel style
convention center, lounge, and views over the city. The
walnut millwork and wall panels contrast with light walls
and stone to create a rich, simple interior.

Office Building
 
Kansas City, MO. This
concept for a LEED Platinum office building utilizes thermal
glazing, redwood light shelves and screens, and recycled
concrete. Interior finishes were simple and kept to a
minimum, with screens over corridors and low height
partitions that allow light and air to travel through the
building.

This new office design was centered on improving the
working environment and
includes a new atrium and class a office space. The
solutions transcend the typical work environment using
sustainable design principles and Workplace 2020 initiatives
to enhance the life of the users with light, color, space
and inspiration. The design utilizes the
benefits of natural daylight and openness from the Atrium
while maintaining a sense of needed privacy. Worker
productivity is projected to increase and absences will decrease once the space is complete.

The new office village design will house more than 100 small businesses who provide
support for the select markets. The
builidngs incorporate many progressive workplace and
sustainable design principles to increase satisfaction and
productivity of the company’s associates. The facilities are focused on flexibility, collaboration, human health and
productivity — a direct response to the culture and needs of growing business, These qualities are shown to enable greater
innovation, increase productivity, raise energy efficiency,
increase air quality, improve natural daylighting, and
reduce operating costs. In addition, individuals have the
ability to control personalize their workspace, albeit
inside air temperature, access to daylight, and flexible
task lighting.

This worship space and
office facility is designed to hold up to 500 members and
support worship services, church outreach missions and
sunday school. The sanctuary is a simple space that focuses

New York, NY. Design team
member for a major stadium master plan and building design.
The building has a traditional façade that conceals a modern
interior and great hall made of skins of woven steel mesh,
smooth limestone, and metal panels. The new building
conforms to sit in an angular city block with elevated rail
lines and 6 lane roads acting as boundaries. The
traditional façade of limestone and granite recall the
team’s original stadium, while the modern interior,
analytical camera security, restaurants, lounges, and
seating are that of a modern entertainment district.

Laramie, WY. Architect on
the design team of a new addition and renovation for a large
football stadium. The new LEED designed club, suites, and
restaurants allow for an enhanced game experience for
patrons, but also create new entry and concession zone for
fans in existing seats. The dark color tones of the team
are represented in the architecture, with modern forms and
rich interiors.

Hotel

Washington, D.C. This
premium hotel tower and four bay convention center would
provide a convention and entertainment district accessible
by train and with views to downtown. The project uses
recycled metal panels and thermal glass, with a stone base
sinking into the site landscape.

Washington State. Design
team architect for a new athletic training office and
recruiting building for the University of Washington. The
new facility provides a gateway into the campus football
facility and serves as a five-story office complex for the
athletic, training, and recruiting staff. The muscular look
and of scale the building relates the architecture to the
sport and gives new recruits a strong first impression.

Kansas City, MO. This
four block urban master plan for retail, residential, and
office is a dynamic group of buildings connected by an
elevated running track and panoramic views of the city. The
new district is modeled after European shopping districts
with a covered outdoor main street and also urban shop
frontage.

25,000 square foot community activity and training facility with an indoor soccer pitch, community activity rooms, and
locker facilities.

New York, NY. Design team
member for a multi story lounge and restaurant made of blue
glass, light wood, and granite to create an upscale sports
environment. With multiple seating and menu options, this
is a sports lounge with appeal to many different types of
patrons.

Steak/yankee (Completed as the architect for the firm of
record)
   
New York, NY. Architect
on two-story restaurant and bar made of walnut, bronze
mirror, and custom wine and knife displays to create a
signature steak environment for high end dining. The
interior is inspired by the old steakhouses of New York and
Kansas City and creates a unique atmosphere with multiple
dining options and a visual connection from kitchen to
dining to entry.

New York, NY. Design team
member on an American tradition anchored by a custom guitar
bar and neon guitar strings. Brown leather, light tile, and
ash wood make up the balance of the interior and extensive
memorabilia displays are integrated into wall panels.

record)
   
New York, NY. Design team
member on a high end buffet and dining experience
overlooking the field at Yankee Stadium. Multiple terraces
and dining room options allow for patrons to enjoy the
combination of high-end dining and baseball. A striking and
elegant interior is created by polished stone tile, dark
walnut, and backlit onyx. |
